This has been a most unusual holiday season - we see friends and neighbors online and through video as much as more in person, but old traditions still hold firm.

A lot of sharing going on - and we share sounds from friends and neighbors all over — pianist Bob Alberti shared this video from pianist and trumpeter Randy Waldman. We also share holiday sounds from Kenny Blake, Sean Jones, Tania Grubbs, Johnny Costa, Deanna Witkowski, Joe Negri and a few other surprises.

Pittsburgh’s Sammy Nestico is in his 90’s and now in California - and has written a wonderful tale about his father’s journey from Italy to the US - and especially to Pittsburgh.

We’ve shared a lot of Sammy’s music, and Sammy has written this wonderful story to help make the connections deeper.
