Percussionist, professor, bandleader, composer and producer Terri Lyne Carrington plays Saturday night with her band Social Science at the Playhouse at Point Park, downtown March 18. Her new release of compositions - “New Standards” - by women composers just won her another Grammy. She was also on the grammy winner for the Wayne Shorter live recording “From the Detroit Jazz Festival” which honored the master before his passing weeks ago.
