The Holidays and all that jazz - a Soundtrack for the holidays

All day on Christmas, join us for a musical exploration of holiday sounds through jazz - drawing from thousands of recordings in the library of the Pittsburgh Jazz Channel!

The MCG Jazz Spotlight shines on holiday recordings done for the MCG Jazz record label.

WZUM has thousands of holiday jazz sounds in our collection, and this is the weekend to roll them out!

On the scene, it’s a mostly Pittsburgh jazz celebration for the hour, plus Pittsburgh visitors and favorites.

The Scene - Thursday at 6, Sunday at 5, Friday and Saturday at noon.

MCG Jazz Spotlight show host Marty Ashby will continue to celebrate the holidays with vocalist Ann Hampton Callaway.

Enjoy the festivities as Marty and Ann bring you selections from Samara Joy, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Liz Callaway, and some of Ann Hampton Callaway's own holiday albums!

2023 has been one of the busiest years for new jazz recordings we can recall, and many have a Pittsburgh flair.
