Jazz, live from the Alphabet City stage as part of the Off Minor Jazz Series. This quintet ensemble will showcase their musical tribute to Thelonious Monk.

Drummers David Throckmorton and Thomas Wendt have teamed up to present some of Monk’s music in a setting consisting of two very different trios, as well as in a duo setting. This project gives the audience a most interesting way to experience Monk, one that showcases the true diversity of his music. 

The Off-Minor Jazz series are thematic concerts highlighting the music of legendary jazz composers and players. Curated by drummer Thomas Wendt, the series features specialized musicians for each concert.
