An evening of jazz broadcasted from the Alphabet City stage with The Reggie Watkins Trio as a part of “The Show Must Go Online”

The Reggie Watkins Trio with Reggie Watkins - trombone and piano, Ava Lintz - bass, and David Throckmorton - drums, began as the house rhythm section for "Quantum Spirit's Modern Jazz Sessions" which featured a different guest composer / instrumentalist once a month from February 2019 to February 2020. In March 2020 the ongoing and thriving event was abruptly cut short by the pandemic.

The series was conceived of and curated by Reggie Watkins in order to perform his original works in addition to the compositions of the monthly featured artist. The trio currently continues to play Saturdays on the patio at Quantum Spirits in Carnegie Pennsylvania. The group plays the original music of Watkins and versions of songs from the jazz idiom including works by Horace Silver, Ornette Coleman and Charles Mingus.
