Calvary United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh
The Allegheny Historic Preservation Society presents its Twenty-Ninth Annual Tiffany Concert Series in the Calvary sanctuary. This concert will feature Scott Anderson with Lisa Bleil and featured guest Benny Benack Jr.
This is a free event, but a free-will offering will be taken. The AHPS Tiffany Concert Series is underwritten by the Buhl Foundation.
Scott Anderson is a TWO TIME Emmy Award-winning composer, music director, producer, and one of the Pittsburgh region’s most sought-after keyboard players.
Lisa Bleil has been singing professionally since she was 18. She attended the Carnegie Mellon University Schoo l of Music where she earned a BFA in Classical Vocal Performance, and since then has performed in nearly every facet of the music business, from jingles to theater to television to teaching…she even did singing telegrams in college..
Benny Benack Jr. changes names when he changes hats. The talented reed player is perhaps best known by the name made famous by his trumpet-playing dad, remembered for his "The Bucs Are Goin' All The Way" in the 1960 championship year of the Pittsburgh Pirates. But the Dixieland ace warned his son not to bank on music as a career, so Benack Jr. does that another way -- at Dollar Bank, where he is vice president of marketing and known as Ben.
