Lighthouse arts presents Thomas Wendt in a Brilliant Corners event “Meet the Jazztet” in the new MCG Jazz Archives Center, Manchester highlight the influential collaboration between Art Farmer and Benny Golson.
Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Benny Golson was a star in many bands, and a prolific composer of jazz and popular song. The Jazztet was a sextet Golson cofounded with trumpeter Art Farmer with the consistent additional voices of a standard bass/drum/piano rhythm section and trombone.

Known as one of Jazz’s most vibrant emerging artists, Endea Owens is a Detroit-raised Recording Artist, Bassist, and Composer. She has been mentored by Jazz Icons the likes of Marcus Belgrave, Rodney Whitaker, and Ron Carter.
Michael Mayo stretches his voice through layers of heavenly harmonizing, hard-hitting beatboxing, and heartfelt crooning. LA Weekly called him, “without a doubt the best young male jazz singer in Los Angeles.”
