Lighthouse arts presents Thomas Wendt in a Brilliant Corners event “The Young Charles Mingus” in the new MCG Jazz Archives Center, Manchester.

Bassist, composer and band leader, Charles Mingus, has made some of the most important artistic contributions to both Jazz and American music.

This edition of Brilliant Corners focuses on Mingus' early recordings both on the west coast and after he moved east in 1951.
