Not only is 1926 that the School of Music at Duquesne was founded, but it was a landmark year for jazz when icons such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Randy Weston, and Joe Negri were born. The music of these masters and many more, as well as songs written or recorded in 1926 will be the cornerstone of this season of the Uptown Jazz Series.
