Thursday night at 6, repeated Sunday at 5 on “THE SCENE” on WZUM - we visit with Reggie Watkins, Maggie Forbes and Melanie Paglia of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegie - highlighting their upcoming event on September 28th, featuring the Boilermaker Jazz Band, as well as New York talents vocalist Lisa Gary and tap dancer Alex Macdonald, as featured with the Scott Bradlee’s Post Modern Jukebox, which also features Carnegie citizen, Trombonist Reggie Watkins!

We’ll also highlight some fo the musicians being featured at Jazz Poetry Month - Oliver Lake and Nicole Mitchell.

Also, a peek into the Lighthouse Arts event Sunday with Trumpeter Benny Benack III at a Heid House homecoming concert at recording session in Aspinwall, and sounds from organist and Pianist David Braham, coming back to the region as a leading attraction for the West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival in Morgantown.

And yes, we play tap dancers on the radio, sometimes!

All on the radio on WZUM!
