As we take the turn toward summer with this Memorial Day weekend, we look to the summer sounds on the Pittsburgh scene ahead - and to this weekend, too!
Blues harpist and vocalist Kurt Crandall plays this weekend for a Saturday show at Con Alma - he shared his most recent release with us, and we share it with you. Also on stage this weekend, vocalist Ellie Martin and Roger Humphries and the RH Factor at the Westylvania Jazz and Blues Festival in Indiana.

Then there’s the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival, landing for its 15th Anniversary in September - we share sounds from some of the stars, including Branford Marsalis, the John Shannon Organ Trio, vocalist Kandace Springs (she’s got a new record, too!), and New Orleans’ bandleader Etienne Charles - and we share a conversation we had with him from a few months ago, too.
