A rich array of jazz offerings unfold for the summer - and we play music from many of the artists to be featured on The Scene this week. Also - new music from the Reid Hoyson Project (a homecoming for a number of Pittsburgh players) and the new MCG Jazz release by the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra- Ellington Masterworks.

A reminder - a group with a connection to Bing Crosby’s Northern California residence led to a celebration of jazz and the American Popular Songbook. The group Jazz at the Ballroom also has Pittsburgh context - including a new CD with Byron Stripling and Bennie Benack III. Jazz at the Ballroom comes to the Greer Cabaret Theater with the show Accentuate the Positive - July 2
